Portland Eco Tiny House Amenities

Our Eco-Friendly Tiny Guest House is a new, modern and environmentally designed 1BR/1BA. The house is fully furnished with a queen bed upstairs, queen sleeper sectional sofa downstairs, a well-stocked kitchen with high-end appliances, and a full-size bathroom with a walk in shower and washer/dryer unit.

Centrally located, the tiny house is in the hip Brooklyn neighborhood of SE Portland, close to downtown, and only a few blocks from the Max Orange Line and several bus lines.

Featured in The New York Times, the custom design by Zenbox Design features a one-of-a-kind floating steel and bamboo staircase with one tread extending into a full-sized desk and comfortable office chair. The stairs lead to a bedroom with a queen sized bed, matching bedside tables, a custom stair rail bookcase, and a handy clothes rack. The bedroom window looks over a green roof that reclaims half of the footprint of the tiny house and provides a forest-like view. The green roof provides added insulation for the house, and habitat for birds, honey bees and butterflies.

The layout of the tiny house is a wonder of efficiency and feels much larger than its 446 square feet. The open floor plan includes a comfortably furnished living room with a sectional queen-sized sleeper sofa, coffee table and bamboo rugs. Enjoy high speed wifi and watch the latest shows with Hulu, Netflix on iTunes on the flat screen TV, plus a Blu-Ray DVD player, DVD collection, and an XBOX.

The modern kitchen features custom reclaimed wood countertops, ample storage, Bosch electric stovetop, a Whirlpool electric range, new dishes & cooking equipment, and stainless steel refrigerator. The steel and bamboo bar-height table rolls from the counter and comfortably seats six. French doors open onto a spacious shared yard.

The house also features a washer/dryer combo unit in the first floor bathroom, iron & ironing board, radiant heat floors, and an efficient mini-split AC/heater unit upstairs for total comfort. The comfortably sized bathroom features an extra large tiled shower with quiet vent fan.

Owners Justin, Pam and their golden doodle Lola live in the front house on the property and are available as needed. Towels and linens are provided as well as toiletries, some cooking supplies, coffee and tea. City permit #16-223682-000-00-HO.
